Nuno Felting Artist; Gisela

I attended a class and demonstration of different techniques in felting and needle felting; this is the work of a local nuno felting artist (who says she has a "workshop" not a "studio"). She makes fantastic wraps, bags, scarves, hats and more. I can't wait to learn more from her.

Here's Lily, joining me after the class to admire Gisela's work.

  1. How fun! Can't wait to see your future creations :D

My MIL bought me a felting book that you might enjoy as it covers the basics in felting (including Nuno) called, "Uniquely Felt" by Christine White. I haven't read it all yet, but it has lots of projects for scarves, bags, clothing, pillows, etc. You might want to check it out at a bookstore next time you're in one!

    Have a great Sunday!

  2. Hi Jen,

I will look up that book! My latest endeavor is learning to spin; just this week I saw someone spinning for the first time and yesterday I bought my first drop spindle; a Turkish one. Will do a post on it soon.

    Have a wonderful week!
